This is a control knob for a gas range surface burner, used to turn the burner on and off and adjust the flame level. It fits onto the valve stem on the control panel. Replace this knob if it is cracked, broken, or if the markings are worn off, making it difficult to set the correct heat level.
Replaced igniter under each burner knob. Used needle nose pliers to remove the electrical connections (2) of the igniter then slipped it off the gas valve shaft. Replaced with new igniter (click in place) and replaced electrical connectors. Took about 15 minutes to complete. Read more

Ordered four new knobs. Because of the stove model, the four knobs are three different parts. Three of the knobs fit and work fine. The fourth knob had the information printed on it, off by 180 degrees (in positioning, not temp). Hence, if the knob fit correctly, it pointed to the floor when in the off position. Yet, when turned to the off position-toward the ceiling, the flame was pretty high. The other three point to the ceiling. No flame. New knob being sent. Holding my breath. Read more

After doing much research online, I found out that the Touchpad on the JennAir downdraft gas range JGS9900BDS is very prone to "breaking."
