I started by watching the AppliancePartsPros.com video for my dishwasher and determined the most likely problem was a broken door cable or plastic connector. I ordered the parts and when they arrived I pulled the dishwasher out after securing the inlet water and power. Well, what I found was a broken door balance spring ... who would have thought.
