I changed out the white burners for black ones which will be easier to clean. This is a simple matter of removing two screws on each burner. The one igniter switch turned out to be okay, but was not fully seated on the valve shaft. As to lighting off issues, the new burners helped, but the most improvement came from removing the burners and cleaning the orifices that supply gas to the burner tubes with a bit of fine wire. SSVD48600Pon finally popped the control panel loose from the top of the stove. Took some manipulation as the stove is more than 20 yrs. old With a screwdriver finally popped the switch loose. Applied the new switch. Popped the top back to the control panel. Put the screws back in and everything was back to normal. Read more
