The Filter Guide is an OEM part for LG dryers. It plays a pivotal role in guiding and securing the lint filter in place within the dryer. This ensures that lint and other debris are effectively captured during the drying cycle, preventing them from clogging the vent or damaging internal components.
Causes for replacement include physical damage, such as cracks or warping, which can occur from frequent use or accidental mishandling. A malfunctioning filter guide can compromise the dryer's ability to trap lint, potentially leading to overheating, decreased efficiency, or even a fire hazard.
Symptoms of a bad filter guide include:
- Difficulty in inserting or removing the lint filter
- Excessive lint accumulation outside the filter area
- The dryer taking longer to dry clothes or not drying effectively
- Unusual noises or vibrations indicating that debris is bypassing the filter
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

Sheets broke cover guide with filter and sensor Stefan H. • Ponte Vedra Beach , FL • March 15, 2019
I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. I have ordered all three parts overnight by Fedex, ordered 15 min before 5pm, so next day it was here.
Dryer is fixed, I'm happy.

The Moisture Sensor Holder is an OEM replacement part for LG dryers. It secures the crucial moisture sensor in place inside the drum. This sensor detects how damp the laundry is to determine when the cycle has finished drying clothes.
Symptoms of a bad moisture sensor holder include:
- The sensor coming loose or not making proper contact
- Inaccurate drying times as the sensor may read inconsistently
- Premature ending of cycles before clothes are completely dry
- Repeated drying error codes displayed
Causes can be cracked or broken clips after years of drum rotation. Vibrations may also loosen mounting screws over time.
Replacing with this genuine LG part ensures the sensor stays positioned correctly. Compatible models include some Kenmore and Sears dryers.

Faulty moisture sensor on dryer Lee W. • Thompson's Station , TN • July 03, 2020
We called a repairman out who was rude, obnoxious and seemingly incompetent. After an hour of dissembling our dryer, he quickly slapped it back together and told us it would be $200 to fix. No other explanation. We sent him on his way and I found your site, found the ($5) part and watched the 5 min repair video. Ordered the part and had it in our hands in less than 48 hours. I had the dryer repaired in 20 min. Saved us a lot of money and made me feel pretty good about my own normally meager...
