This is a safety switch assembly that detects whether the dryer door is open or closed. It signals the control board to stop the drum and heating element when the door is opened during a cycle. Replace this switch if the dryer will not start, stops mid-cycle unexpectedly, or continues running with the door open.

This micro switch is a compact, snap-action electrical switch that sends an on/off signal when a lever, latch, or paddle is moved. Replacing a worn switch restores reliable detection and control response for the affected function.

• After installation, verify continuity with a multimeter and test function before reassembly
