This inner oven door glass restores the viewing window and heat barrier on compatible GE ovens, letting you safely check food without opening the door. It's a direct-fit glass panel designed to match the oven door assembly. What it does:

I lifted up the door and removed it. Next, I laid out newspaper on the floor. I placed the door on the newspaper upside down. With my socket driver, I removed the bottom door trim. I then used a pocket knife to remove the remaining glass in the top groove. I then slid in the new glass and reinstalled the trim. I ordered a Window Pac and a new oven door seal for this project. Our oven is 25+ years old and still works...I wasn't sure how easy or hard this would be, so initially I delayed ordering these parts for three weeks!
