This genuine OEM hose clamp is sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in various applications on lawn and garden equipment with small engines. For example, hose clamps can used to attach the tubing from the fuel tank to the engine. This hose clamp is spring-driven, so it does not require tools for removal or installation. Hose clamps should be replaced anytime the hoses are replaced. Replacing the hose clamp ensures a proper fit. If the hose clamp is not tight enough, air may get into the system, or fluids may leak out. This can lead to poor performance or engine damage. During regular operation, if the clamps are not tight enough, the vibrations from the equipment can cause the hose to come off. This could be a potentially disastrous situation for the engine or the safety of the user. To install the spring-driven hose clamp, squeeze the ends until it opens wide enough to fit over the hose. Slide it down the house about ½ inch. Fit the hose to the intended outlet nipple and push on securely. Squeeze the clamp and pull it up to the joint between the hose and the outlet. Release the clip.
