This is an engine brake cover plate that is used with many models of lawn and garden equipment. The brake plate comes in black and is made of durable materials. This protective component works with the brake system to prevent damage to other important parts of the equipment. The part is located behind the brake shoes and the wheel cylinder is mounted on it. This component also keeps dust and debris off of the brakes so cleaning will need to be done on a regular basis.The engine brake cover plate can be seen when the user pushes down on the brake pedal. This creates pressure from the hydraulic fluid located in the brake lines. Friction from normal use can cause it to wear out over time. If the damage is serious, the old engine brake cover should be removed to install a new one.
