Maytag Dryer Gasket & Seal

Fiberglass-reinforced door seal that restores an appliance door's airtight closure to help maintain consistent temperatures, reduce energy waste and minimize frost or moisture buildup around the door. What it does:

• Forms a continuous gasket around the door to keep cold air in and warm air out.
• Helps prevent frost buildup and uneven temperatures caused by air leaks.
• Common symptoms that indicate replacement: visible gaps, cold-air leakage, frost/ice at the door, or a door that won't seal flush.
• Fiberglass construction helps the seal retain shape for a more reliable long-term closure.

• Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any service.
• Remove the old seal and clean the door channel; press the new seal evenly into place, checking for full contact around the perimeter.
• Some models may require partial door or liner removal—before disassembly.
• If the seal is stiff, follow OEM-recommended conditioning (allow to warm to room temperature or use manufacturer guidance) to help it seat properly.
