Magnetron (Microwave High-Voltage Tube)

This magnetron generates the microwave energy that heats food in a microwave oven. Replacing a failing magnetron restores heating performance and stops most no-heat conditions caused by a bad high-voltage tube. What it does:

Converts high-voltage power into microwave radiation that heats food.
Common symptom: oven powers on but does not heat or heats weakly.
May be replaced if there is loud humming, burning smell, arcing inside the cavity, or a repeatedly blown HV fuse.
Works with the oven's waveguide and HV circuitry to deliver even cooking when functioning.

What's included:

One magnetron (single unit).

Install notes:

Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before starting any repair.
The microwave's high-voltage capacitor retains a dangerous charge; discharge and service only if you are qualified.
Inspect and replace any damaged HV wiring, fuses, or the waveguide cover as needed; do not operate the oven without the magnetron cover in place.
