The part includes the pulley where the dryer belt attaches. The motor and pulley can be damaged or become worn out. This may cause a humming noise, a stiff motor, a rotating motor, or other issues. If this is the case, the component will need to be replaced. To replace this part, make sure the dryer is unplugged from the wall. A set of tools and work gloves will be useful for the process. Take the top and front panels off the dryer to gain access to the drum. Remove the drum, take off the motor clamps, and loosen the blower wheel. Remove the back panel and blower wheel before taking out the motor and pulley and replacing them. Reassemble the appliance before use.The motor and pulley is sold on an individual basis.
