Hex head self-tapping screw for outdoor power equipment. Securely fastens components throughout your machine. Replace if missing, stripped, or worn.
Hex screw for lawn tractors and garden equipment. Replaces missing, loose, or deteriorated fasteners in various mounting applications across the machine.
There are multiple uses for the 5/16-18 Hex Screw. It is often used with small gasoline-powered yard equipment such as lawn and garden machines. While hex screws such as these may be used in edgers and snowblowers, the most frequent use this screw is in yard tractors. This variety of screw is commonly used in attaching the various appendages of gas-powered equipment to a central operating platform. In particular, these hex screws are used to secure the engine block of power tools to the frame or housing of the equipment. Once in place, these fasteners have an almost unbreakable strength to them. This is so much so the case that often, in order to detach the engine manifold and repair the inner workings of an engine, the bolts must be chiseled or cut loose. In such cases, it is necessary for the bolts to be replaced during reassembly. Manufacturers insist that genuine OEM replacement parts be used in the rebuilding process. These replacement parts were manufactured to the same exacting specifications used to make the original screws. These OEM screws are compatible with equipment made and sold by Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Husky, MTD, Bolens, and Yard Machines.
Hex screw fastener for securing lawn mower components. Replace if stripped, rusted, or missing to ensure proper assembly and equipment stability.
Small metal washer that secures parts on lawn tractors and riding mowers. Replace if worn, cracked, or missing to properly fasten components together.
This self-tapping screw is used to attach various parts to the engine housing of medium sized gasoline powered engines, in particular yard tools such as tillers, snow blowers, yard tractors, riding mowers, power vacuums, shredders, and chippers. It is used in over 150 different gasoline powered engines. Screws such as these are used particularly when a device is going to receive a great amount of vibration and stress while the engine is running and rotating tools are engaged. Such devices sustain a great deal of wear over time and the parts subject to replacement will eventually fail and need to be replaced. In such cases, it is wisest to replace the attaching hardware such as housing screws as well, because it is a self-tapping screw. Screws of this type are designed to forge a tight bond between the metal pieces they are securing together, but once loosened, they should ideally be replaced with new hardware. Make sure when replacing these screws to use genuine OEM parts like these screws. These replacement parts are manufactured to be identical to the original pieces. This hex screw is compatible with the following brands: MasterCut, Yard-Man, Yard Machine, Montgomery Wards, MTC, Murray, Bolens, Craftsman, Turf King, Troy Bilt, Cub Cadet, Huskee, Toro, and Ryobi.
The replacement screw seen here is made from high-quality, durable metal. It is an identical replacement for a faulty screw in many types of lawn and garden equipment. The screw features a hex-bolt shaped head and is used for various applications in the machines. Owners will want to refer to diagrams of their model to ensure the correct application for the screw. A screw may need to be replaced for any number of different reasons. In some cases, the screw could become lost when making other repairs to the machine. It could also become bent or the threads could be damaged. Corrosion is also a possibility over time. Replacing the screw is typically considered a fast and easy repair. The screw is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sold individually. The screw can be used for many models of snowblower, lawnmower, chainsaw, tiller, string trimmer, log splitter, edger, and wood chipper. Flange lock nut secures components on mowers and outdoor power equipment. Replace if stripped, corroded, or missing to restore proper fastening.
This is a flanged lock nut. It’s designed to apply tension, typically on a joint that needs to have a certain amount of flex. As such, it’s mostly used on snowblower chutes and lawnmower handles. They can remain in place, but with a forgiving connection that can take a beating. The nut size is 3/8, with a thread size of 16. A lock nut will generally last for many years. However, the silicone ring inside will wear down if it’s frequently tightened and loosened. It needs to be replaced when it will no longer reliably remain in place. Generally, this begins as a symptom of slight slippage and worsens as time goes on. Thankfully, whether it’s being used on a snowblower or a lawnmower, this nut is generally straightforward to access. Simply unscrew the old nut, then screw the new nut on until it’s nice and tight. Our flanged lock nuts are genuine OEM MTD nuts, and they are sold individually.

This extension spring attaches to the axle support bracket and the drive belt idler pulley on many types of lawn and garden equipment. It creates additional tension to the drive belt idler pulley. Sometimes the extension spring can be stretched out or may break, often caused through excess use. If this is the case, the spring will need to be replaced. If the spring is broken or no longer creates the appropriate amount of tension, replacement is required. It is an easy process that only requires a set of pliers. The pliers can be used to take the old spring off of the yard equipment before attaching the new extension spring. Make sure the equipment is on a stable surface and powered off when working with it. Remove the spark plug wire to prevent accidents. This extension spring is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual component. The spring is made to be used with lawnmowers, lawn tractors, and tillers created by MasterCut, Yard-Man, Bolens, Huskee, MTD, Yard Machines, Murray, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, and Craftsman.

This lock washer is used frequently for a number of applications on power yard equipment. The size, 5/16, is the default for many small engine housing and manifold applications. Lock washers are used with machined bolts to fasten engine blocks to the housing of the equipment being used. The compressed washer is able to handle the constant vibration of the small gasoline engine without losing the seal between the screw or bolt and the housing. Typically these lock washers only need to be replaced when they are misplaced during repairs or when the screws that attach them have to be chiseled or cut away, meaning the washers are destroyed as well. These OEM certified replacement washers have been manufactured to the same specifications as the originals they are replacing. In addition to lawn mowers, lock washers of this type and size are frequently used on blowers, lawn tractors, cultivators, snowblowers, and trimmers. Brands compatible with this type of washer are Murray, Husky, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Ryobi.
A flat washer is used in a variety of applications, such as being placed under bolts or nuts as a means to help distribute the load over a larger area and to help ensure the nuts and bolts do not become loose over time. The washers also help to protect the surface from corrosion and damage. Not having washers could reduce the lifespan of a machine. It is important for buyers to replace washers that may have been lost or become damaged. The washers should be checked for signs of corrosion, cupping, or other damage that would necessitate replacement. Buyers should always make sure they are getting the correct size. The flat washer is an OEM part sold individually. It can be used for a range of different types of outdoor machines and more. Some of the types of machines that typically use these washers include lawn tractors, tillers, lawn mowers, chippers, shredders, and snowblowers. This flat washer is used to attach the idler pulley in a number of small and medium sized gasoline powered engines. These engines include snow blowers, log splitters, riding mowers, lawn tractors, and chippers. Because the idler pulley is subject to a great deal of resistance when the pulley is engaged, eventually the pulley will wear out. Should there be a squealing sound when engaging the drive, the problem is likely the idler pulley. In these cases, the pulley must be replaced. It is a good idea to replace the surrounding hardware when replacing the idler pulley; tNhis includes the flat washer, which is subject to corrosion during heavy use. To replace the idler pulley, first detach the spark plug cap. If on a mower or tractor, drop the mower deck. Remove the original pulley and install in order: replacement pulley, hex bolt, flat washer, flange nut. Apart from dropping the mower deck, the only tools required to complete this installation may be a 9/16 ratchet and combination wrench. This washer is a genuine OEM replacement part, designed to perfectly replicate the original piece. This washer is compatible with Troy-Bilt, Yard Man, Yard Machines, MTD, and Craftsman devices.

This is a two in one blade that can be used as a lift blade to bag clippings, as well as a side discharge for clippings. It is time to consider replacing this blade when there are uneven or even missed areas of cutting or bagging when using the mower. It may be that the blade has been dulled by prolonged use or bent or damaged by striking rocks and dense roots. Either way, replacing the blade is a relatively easy repair to make and should be considered a part of routine maintenance.
