Description

The Logsplitter Coupling is a jaw coupling fitted for log splitters. Jaw couplings are flexible couplings that can protect other more sensitive parts from deleterious effects such as heat expansion, vibration, shaft misalignment, and shock loads. The couplings connect two shafts to transmit torque. Jaw couplings are generally used in conjunction with spider bushings. This product is made of durable metal to provide strength while also supporting the alignment of the two connecting shafts. The Logsplitter Coupling is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and it is sold individually. Spider bushings are sold separately. This piece can be damaged by normal use, in which case it will need to be replaced. A set of socket wrenches, needle nose pliers, and a screwdriver may be necessary during replacement to help install this part correctly. The Coupling-Logsplitt should be connected to the log splitter's engine shaft as well as the hydraulic pump. The part should be attached next to the rear coupling support bracket. The Logsplitter Coupling is compatible for use with log splitters made by MTD, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
