This breather cover plate replaces worn-out, damaged, or misplaced cover plates to ensure the outdoor power equipment runs as smoothly as possible.Breathers are essential for internal combustion engines, as they let gases escape from the combustion chamber. If gases cannot properly vent, pressure within the engine will build which can lead to ruptured seals. Eventually, this can cause oil to spill into the combustion chamber and is very problematic for the engine. Without a breather cover plate, the breather cannot function properly. This part should be replaced whenever it is worn out or shows signs of deterioration. This breather cover plate is a genuine MTD replacement part and has been sourced directly from the manufacturer.
