The Gas Oven Ignitor is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire gas ranges and ovens. It uses electricity to generate a spark that ignites the burner flames for heating. To check if the ignitor is the issue, look inside the broiler oven while the oven is turned on. If the element is glowing a bright red, it's getting power. If not, it may not be getting enough power to ignite the gas and should be replaced.
Symptoms of a bad gas ignitor can include:
- The oven or burners failing to ignite or stay lit consistently
- Diminishing heating performance over time
- Burners that intermittently ignite or go out
Causes stem from normal wear with extended use. The ignitor's ability to spark diminishes as parts degrade. No spark means no gas ignition.
This OEM replacement part is compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore brands.

Replacement of oven ignitor Joe H. • South Abington Township , PA • February 05, 2021
My Kenmore 790.74139310 gas range was taking over 30 minutes to reach 350F. It used to take a little less than 10 minutes. The problem was the ignitor for the lower gas burner. It would glow but not pass sufficient current to increase the gas flow to the lower burner. Once at temperature, there is of course loss of heat when loading the oven with room temperature food. This took too long to recover, so we did not have proper temperature for proper cooking for the first 30 to 40 minutes. Food...

Fix F10 error codes or inaccurate oven temperatures with a new sensor probe. Common fix for ovens that overheat or won't reach set temp. Easy DIY repair.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
F10 error code started flashing and my oven shut itself off temperature control failed John C. M. • Ruther Glen , VA • July 15, 2014
After I came from from work, my wife told me about the problem. I quickly began to research the code F10 which according to the paper in the pouch behind my range said it needed a new temperature control sensor and that should fix it. It also said that if that doesn't fix the problem that I'd have to replace the circuit board which probably got fried due to the runaway temperature. So, I decided to just order the temperature sensor part# AP3963654 for $25.63 plus shipping. I ordered the part at...

The Light Bulb (40W) is an OEM part for Frigidaire appliances. Specifically designed to fit and function with Frigidaire models, this 40-watt bulb illuminates the interior of your oven, making it easier to check on the progress of your baking or roasting without opening the oven door.
Over time, oven light bulbs can burn out or be damaged from high temperatures or accidental bumps during cleaning or cooking. A functioning light bulb is crucial for the optimal operation of your oven, enhancing visibility and improving your cooking experience.
Symptoms of a bad Light Bulb include:
- The oven interior remains dark when the light switch is engaged.
- Flickering light, indicating a loose connection or nearing the end of the bulb's lifespan.
- Completely non-functional light, which can hinder your ability to monitor cooking progress.
This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015
Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old...

- Difficulty lighting the burner or the burner not lighting at all
- An uneven or weak flame that does not adjust with the control knob
- Gas odor when the burner is turned on, indicating that gas is not igniting
This genuine Frigidaire OEM replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore gas ranges.

Burner wouldn't light automatically Cheryl W. • Carlsbad , CA • March 31, 2017
Replaced igniter and orifice assembly, and replaced spark module. Used the video for help, but the video doesn't show the top cover piece that needs to be taken off first.
Also the screws for the igniter set were stuck from old grease or something and had to be drilled out. Overall the project was well worth my time for the cost vs replacement decision. AppliancePartsPros.com makes it so easy to choose a part and guesstimate the probably of choosing the right one.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Bottom stove drawer was crooked Cassaundre J. • Lake Mary , FL • December 11, 2018
The bottom drawer glides tend to wear. The metal drawer sliding against the plastic glide creates a groove. After only a couple years, the groove was so large that the drawer slid in too far. It was no longer flush with the oven door. Then the left side was crooked!!! All it took was a screw driver to install these new glides.

Leak detected in my original valve John T. • Warren Center , PA • December 24, 2016
Replaced the old valve with a new one from AppliancePartsPros.com. I watched one of the YouTube videos to get an idea of what the process would entail. I gathered the tools I would require, plus a work light. The repair/replacement went pretty good. One thing the video I watched didn't cover was adjusting the valve for a propane system. I compared my old valve to the new one and saw that I would have to screw down the oven gas outlet until it "bottomed out".
