Replaced clutch assembly which was a little tricky, but very doable. Just make sure to take your time. Very difficult fix even though I had done it once before about 15 years ago. Problem for me was getting the transmission down far enough to get clearance to install the belt. Removed the screws, lifted the old lid out of the hinges. Replaced the hinges, set new lid in the hinges and replaced screws. Read more

Ordered a replacement. Had to tip washer toward the back to provide access underneath to the pump. Had some difficulty removing the two hose clamps. Pliers were not the best tool. Had to ensure the drive belt was properly engaged with the pulley of the pump. Read more

Weekend laundry became very noisy, our 1987 Whirlpool washer began doing a dance across the floor and the drum was banging into the inner cabinet. After doing some research and watching a few videos on Appliance parts pros website. I inspected the washer and noticed one leg the rubber coating disintegrated, decided to change all four legs, springs and lid switch. Hardest part of the job is getting the cabinet together. The cylinder roller that supports the dryer drum was worn and needed to be replaced. I ordered the idler pulley shaft and associated parts as well since I wasn't sure if these were worn too. Watching the video on the web site gave me a good idea what was involved and where to look. It wasn't my exact model and make but provided sufficient information on what to look for. I replaced the controller. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get to it. The video on the website showed access to the control via the rear panel. On the Kitchen Aid we have, the back panel is part of the range's main frame and does not come off. Turns out, 2 screws behind the fluorescent lamp had to be removed and the entire control panel housing lifts up and can be tilted forward.
