Refrigerator Door Gasket
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304507200

The Door Gasket is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It ensures a tight seal around the door, preventing cold air from escaping and maintaining the set temperature inside the appliance. Over time, the gasket can wear out, become brittle, or lose its elasticity, leading to gaps between the gasket and the appliance frame. The gasket measures approximately 31" x 60"

Causes of a bad door gasket can vary from normal wear and tear to accidental damage.

Symptoms of a bad Gasket include:

  • Noticeable gaps or tears in the gasket
  • Difficulty in maintaining the set temperature
  • Condensation or frost buildup around the door

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was. 2. I couldn't get water to dispense, so I changed the filter and that wasn't the problem. I ordered a water valve and crossed my fingers. These parts arrived... Read more

I tested the fan outside of the freezer with an adapted direct plug-in cord and it ran fine. I tested the controller tsd it was within the good range along with the run capacitor and it tested good as well. I then tested the compressor resistance, it tested good, although the compressor could have been mechanically bad, it wasn't and I don't know of a way to test for it. I found a youtube video and tested the defrost control which seemed to be bad. Then I tested the control-temperature... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Deep freezer was tripping gfci outlet every day   Bryan K. • Aubrey , TX • November 29, 2014

I determined that it was a problem that occurred during the defrost cycle by resetting the GFCI outlet and forwarding the defrost timer until the defroster came on. Once the defrosting began, the GFCI outlet would reliably trip. I took apart the shielding inside of the freezer and tested the defrosting without the heating element or the thermostat connected. Since that looked good, I tested for proper functionality of the thermostat by removing it, placing it in a working freezer, and checking... Read more
