This radiant surface element sits beneath a glass cooktop and supplies controlled heat to a single burner. Replacing a failed element restores proper heating and consistent cooking performance on the range top. What it does:
- Converts electrical power into radiant heat under the glass for one surface burner
- Works with the limiter/control to cycle and maintain set temperatures
- Typical symptoms: burner won't heat, heats intermittently, shuts off too soon, or trips the circuit when turned on
- Common diagnosis: element tests open (no continuity) with a multimeter
What's included:
- 1 radiant surface element
Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the cooktop to cool completely
- Lift or open the glass top per your model's service information to access the element
- Note wire locations; transfer any mounting clips/brackets as needed and reconnect wires one at a time
- Handle the element carefully and seat it correctly before reassembly; test operation before closing up

This leveling leg is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. Leveling legs are used on the bottom of stoves to correct imbalances on the cooking top caused by floors being unlevel. The leveling leg is threaded so that it can be adjusted up or down as needed. There are four holes for leveling legs on the stove's bottom. Each leg can be adjusted independently. If the legs are missing or lost, these replacements will help level the stove for more even cooking. When the stove is not level, the food inside pans will be unlevel and not cook evenly.Make sure the power is disconnected before installing the leveling leg. Tilt the stove back and place a chock underneath one side so that the leg can be screwed up or down as needed. Remove the chock and check for level. If the stove is still unlevel, repeat the procedure on the side that is not level. Continue to adjust until the stove is level. Restore the power to the stove. This leveling leg is a black part that is sold individually. It is designed for use on ranges manufactured by General Electric, Kenmore, and Hotpoint.

Temperature varied 50+/ ; worse at high temperatures Steve L. • Stanwood , WA • January 12, 2015
Replaced thermostat. Biggest challenge was how to feed the thermostat from the back of the stove into the oven. I found the easiest way is to tie a string onto the existing thermostat in the oven before it is removed. When the existing thermostat is pulled out the back un-tie the string and tie it on the new thermostat then pull the string from in the oven to draw the new thermostat through the hole.
