My 12 year-old cooktop was rusted through in a couple of key places, but the rest of my range was in terrific shape, so I decided to order a replacement cooktop. The perfect part arrived quickly. As the wife of the house, I ordered a new one, took off the old one & screwed on the new one. Simple, & looks GREAT! Read more

The screws ordered were the wrong type (I removed machine threads, the replacements were self threading) Not a problem.The screws fixing the burners to the top plate were badly rusted and the heads had to be drilled off. The remaining part of the screws had to be drilled out which meant that the self threading screws could then be used. Changing the valve was straight forward.
