This replacement part is an ice auger blade, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. Ice auger blades are usually found in ice maker assemblies and are used during the ice-making and dispensing process. These blades are what are used when the user is in need of shaved or crushed ice. The mechanism takes full ice cubes and cuts the ice cubes down to create the different types of ice. A new ice auger blade might be needed if the user noticed that the current blades are dull or unable to cut ice. It is possible that the blades become dull over time after many years of use, so replacing them might be a good idea. Be sure the power is completely off before attempting to repair this part. This ice auger blade is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is a genuine OEM replacement part. Note that this part is sold individually.

Ice crusher repair GE Monogram counter depth. Glenn J. • El Cajon , CA • July 27, 2020
This was a very easy repair, the on-line video at AppliancePartsPros.com was helpful.
The Helix was spinning freely (meaning, the Auger Blade was not holding it in place on the Auger).
Pulling the assembly apart was a snap, and very logical (the video is perfect if you get lost).
The family is now enjoying both crushed and cubed ice - and the redesign of the Auger Blade seems to prevent clogging in the ice shoot.

The refrigertor compressor was making a loud noise when the unit was cycling off Nathaniel J. • Bossier City , LA • January 08, 2017
I ordered a clip retainer which hold the compressor in place. First, I discovered there are four clips and the one which I could easily move or turn by hand I ordered a replacement. The part came fast. In less than two minutes I had completed the repair.

Ice dispenser door not closing tightly; frost build up in ice chute; mold growing behind ice and water mechanism Terrance A. • Arleta , CA • March 21, 2017
The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, there was black “schmutz” on the ice door, and the rubber ice funnel and deflector parts were deteriorating. Because the door was not closing tightly, I also assumed that the door-closing spring was week. The parts I ordered were: ice door assembly, ice funnel, ice deflector, spring and...

Broken ice maker supporters Frank G. • Colorado Springs , CO • December 21, 2014
I removed ice maker, cleared out frozen food to make room for drill, removed broken support, & drilled out old pop rivet (covering the area below with a cloth to catch the metal shavings).
Then I carefully straightened the metal support, loosely installed the new support, and pop-riveted it onto the support using the same size rivet.
I reinstalled the ice maker, replaced the frozen food, and turned the ice maker back on. No issues.
