A friends family had left her refrigerator out on a porch while they were remodeling the house she was supposed to move into. A wind storm blew the refrigerator off the porch and tore the door off. It wasn't dented at all, but when her son pu the door back on, it wouldn't seal. She asked for some help fixing it. I ordered replacement parts for the upper and lower hinge. Fridge warm freezer cold failed defrost thermostat Linh V. • Galloway , NJ • August 15, 2016
Initially purchased an evap fan motor, as it was listed as the most common failed component. Of course, once I pulled the cover out of the freezer, the fan motor was just fine, but the coils were a block of ice. So far, it looks like the thermostat was the source of the issue. For anyone experiencing the warm fridge, cold freezer, I recommend pulling the cover off and taking a look before ordering any parts. The video was spot on for the Amana ABB2522FEW fridge and made the repair a piece of...

Broken front cabinet roller. Don K. • South Jordan , UT • August 27, 2017
Removed all the food from the freezer and most from the fridge before starting. Tipped fridge back until I could place a 2 x 4 a couple of inches behind the front rollers. With the front of the fridge now approximately 3 to 4" off the ground you can remove the adjusting bolt and the roller assembly can be pulled out of the brackets. Slide out of the notches where that hold it into the bracket. Same to install.

The shut-off arm is the lever that tells the ice maker when to stop and start making ice. Replace a bent, missing, or jammed arm to restore proper ice production control and prevent bin overfilling. What it does:
- Lowers to allow ice production; raises to stop cycles when the bin is full (down = on, up = off)
- Helps prevent overfilling, spills, and auger jams
- Common symptoms: ice maker won't stop making ice, no ice when the arm is stuck up, inconsistent ice production from misalignment
- Restores proper ice level sensing when the original lever is damaged or missing
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
- Remove the ice bin to access the ice maker
- Seat the arm's pivot ends fully in the ice maker head; avoid bending the lever
- The arm moves freely up/down and clears the bin before restoring power

Mice chewed through all 3 water lines Richard P. • Houston , TX • January 15, 2018
Replaced water reservoir, filter assembly, and water line via the provided instructional videos. The only problems I had where that the water line video had a different fridge layout (filter assembly was perfect), and the inevitable leak on one of the sharkbite-style connectors. I dread dealing with plumbing leaks, so I work on it a little, come back to it the next day, get a little further, etc.

This is a replacement screw designed to work with a wide range of household appliances. It is used for many purposes in these appliances, from holding body panels together to securing electronics into control boards. However, screws are subject to damage through corrosion, impact, and improper installation/removal. In most cases, the primary damage to this screw is through corrosion – it may become rusted or corroded in place, depending on the appliance and the maintenance provided during its lifespan. The screw may also be stripped or rounded due to improper removal or installation. If the screw is damaged, lost, or corroded in place, it will need to be replaced. In most cases, removal will require nothing more than a Phillips head screwdriver or the appropriately sized socket with a ratchet. However, if the screw is damaged, it may require a tap set to remove it from its mounting location. Note that this is a genuine OEM replacement screw made from durable, high-quality metal, and is sold individually. It fits Whirlpool, Maytag, Roper, Estate, Amana, Crosley, and Thermador appliances. It is used in over 150 machines, ranging from washers and dryers to air conditioners.
