This is a blower wheel used in the downdraft exhaust ventilation system of a range or cooktop. It mounts on the motor shaft and draws smoke, steam, and cooking odors down and out through the vent ductwork. Replace this part if the exhaust fan is noisy, vibrating excessively, or not moving air effectively despite the motor running.

Stove downdraft stopped working Robert B. • Gaithersburg , MD • March 08, 2016
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business.

This motor isolator is a vibration-damping grommet that cushions the motor mount to reduce noise and prevent metal-to-metal contact. Replacing worn isolators helps keep the motor seated correctly and the appliance running quieter and smoother.
- Cushions the motor to minimize vibration transfer to the chassis
- Helps reduce rattling or buzzing noises during fan/blower operation
- Supports proper motor alignment and mounting stability
- A common maintenance item when rubber mounts become cracked, hardened, or missing
What's included: One motor isolator grommet Install notes:
- Disconnect power and allow hot components to cool before service
- Access the motor mounting points; replace isolators in matched locations
- Inspect adjacent mounts and hardware; replace additional isolators as needed
- Do not overtighten fasteners—compress the grommet evenly without deforming it

A shoulder screw that secures appliance components and provides a precise pivot or spacer point. Replaces a missing or worn screw to restore alignment, reduce rattling, and keep panels and assemblies securely in place. What it does:
- Provides a fixed-diameter shoulder for pivots, spacers, or mounting points in assemblies.
- Holds panels and moving components at the correct distance to prevent binding or friction.
- A missing or worn shoulder screw can cause misalignment, rattling, or loose parts during operation.
- Used where a smooth-bearing surface and controlled clearance are required between parts.
What's included: One shoulder screw. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance (unplug or shut off breaker) before servicing.
- Handle small fasteners carefully to avoid dropping into assemblies; magnetic pickup tools can help.
- Start threads by hand to avoid cross-threading; tighten snugly but avoid overtightening.

Replace igniter on gas oven (maytag) Jeffrey H. • Pelham , NH • January 03, 2020
I had to remove the oven door, which I learned is made to come off without tools. Then took out the bottom by removing two screws and lifting. Removed the screws attaching the igniter, pulled wires thru back until I could get the connector and disconnect. When the new igniter arrived, I had to change the connector. I cut the one off the old one, and spliced to the new one using solder and shrink tubing. Just reverse the procedure to install. I replaced the screws with new ones.

Oven won't heat or stops heating during cleaning cycle? The high-limit safety switch cuts power when temperatures exceed safe limits. Moderate DIY fix.

No heat from either broil or bake Nicholas W. • Twin Peaks , CA • October 21, 2018
Started with checking temp control in the oven. Worked fine. Next was testing high limiter switch. Every place stated switch was on the back panel, found mine place under the right burner cartridge. Took some finagling to expose it. Bought a new one, two wires to disconnect along with two small screws to secure switch, slapped it in and I was in business. Oven that was out of commission for over two weeks (never buy a part from Sears, always deal with APP's!) was on the road again!

This locknut is a small threaded retaining nut used to secure rotating and stationary appliance components, helping keep assemblies tight and stable during operation. It prevents parts from loosening and reduces vibration-related issues. What it does:
- Secures shafts, pulleys, or fittings to prevent axial movement
- Keeps assemblies fastened under normal vibration and load
- Helps stop wobble, grinding, or part separation caused by a loose connection
- Works with the matching threaded stud, shaft, or fitting for a proper hold
What's included: One locknut Install notes:
- Disconnect power and follow appliance safety procedures before servicing
- Use the matching thread size and engage threads fully; hand-start before tightening
- Tighten securely without overtightening; use the correct driver or socket for the nut
- Inspect mating threads and replace if damaged

This is a small glass jar that attaches to the underside of a range vent hood to collect grease and cooking residue filtered from the air during use. It threads or clips into a designated opening on the hood's grease collection system. Replace this jar if it is cracked, chipped, missing, or if the threading is damaged and it no longer seats securely, which can cause grease to drip onto the cooktop below.
