Needed to replace bottom panel in Fridgedaire electric oven Sharon T. • Monroe Township , NJ • July 31, 2018
Went on site, read the reviews to see how difficult it would be or if any problems. Then ordered it And received it the next day!!!
The 2 screws were a bit hard to remove. Found the right screwdriver by using the 2 new screws I ordered.
Once I got them out, lifted the old panel out. Pushed down on one corner so could get a grip on opposite corner to lift out.
Once out, put in new one. Put in new screws and good to go!
Will certainly NOT line with foil ever again!!!

Part Number: 316211603
This convection fan element mounts on the oven's rear wall around the blower. It supplies supplemental electric heat so the fan can circulate hot air evenly during convection modes for more consistent baking and roasting.
- Provides heat directly around the convection fan to help maintain even temperature during convection cycles
- Failure can cause poor browning, uneven results on multiple racks, or convection modes that run without proper heating
- May show visible breaks, blistering, or burnt spots; an open element will fail a continuity check
- If standard bake heats normally but convection bake does not, this element may be at fault
What's included: 1 convection fan heating element Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely before servicing
- Remove oven racks and the rear interior panel to access the element surrounding the fan
- Note wire positions; transfer any spacers or mounting hardware from the original element as needed
- Secure the element without bending it and confirm the fan spins freely with proper clearance

- Common symptom: appliance fails to start, stops mid-cycle, or behaves erratically due to lost control signals
What's included:
- One electronic control board (controller)
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before accessing or replacing the control board to avoid shock risk
- Handle the board by its edges and avoid touching circuit traces or components
- Verify connectors are fully seated and routed clear of moving parts before reapplying power

Incorrect control John P. • San Jose , CA • February 06, 2016
The display of the control worked, so one might not question it but there is nothing else that would simply shutdown while heating. This part came faster than a 'technician' and 5 sheet metal screws and 4 mounting screws later, the new unit was installed. The only delay was the waiting for the oven to reach full temp to verify that it was working - it is.
The parts places try to sell a new membrane panel ( adhered display cover (numbers and labels) for these but the old one can be removed...
