The Rocker Switch is an OEM part for Frigidaire ranges and ovens. It is responsible for turning the interior oven light on and off. The light switch allows visibility of the oven cavity for viewing food during the cooking process.
Causes can include normal wear and tear over time, exposure to heat inside the oven cavity, or accidental damage.
Symptoms of a bad oven light rocker switch include:
- The oven light failing to illuminate when the door is opened
- The light remaining on even when the door is closed

This Frigidaire model requires power to be disconnected before servicing. Power is going to the elements at all times and the control switches close to the ground side. removed the back panel to have access to the wiring of the element. Disconnect the two wires to the broil element and then opened the oven door and removed the screws holding the element in place. Installed new element and support rods and hooked wiring back to the element. Installed back on the stove and done. My wife was happy...

Unplugged old control panel and plugged in replacement. 5 different colored wires slid easily onto metal prongs. Long plastic piece with thin prongs had to be pried up with screwdriver. You will also need plastic face plate. I was able to peel old one and reuse it. Used razor blade to cut adhesive. Oven clicked back on as soon as it was plugged back in.
