So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful.

Ordered replacement glass the same day I broke the shelf and I received it within 3 days. All I had to do was drop the glass into the frame in the fridge, so no repair time at all.
