It was suggested to replace both the fan/motor assembly and main circuit board since one can ruin the other. I replaced both the main control board and ice fan motor assembly as per the very well detailed instructional video by Appliance Parts Pros. Ordered the parts, which was a pair of ice gears and the bar that connects them. Had to refer to upper freezer drawer to figure out how the gears fit into the rails. Turns out they snap into a plastic hub that is riveted on the rail. Took some effort to finally get them to snap on. At first it seemed like they would not fit. Really had to apply force to get them to go on. Then added bar, which seems to me to be slightly short in length. It works, but I think if any tension is put on it,...
