While I was replacing springs I decided to replace the gasket since I couldn't clean it anymore. Unfortunately that was on back order so I can't fix it just yet. I have taken this LG machine apart already and it is easy to work on. I love all the videos online that go step by step. This repair is simple. The detergent drawer became permanently stuck 10 years ago. The cause, a lid on the fabric softener caught on the roof of the drawer cabinet. A small moisture leak eventually began. The moisture ran down the inside of the front cabinet panel and down to the filter trap at the bottom of the front cabinet panel.
