Kenmore Washer Dryer Combo 970.-C98902-00 (970-C98902-00, 970 -C98902-00) Parts

Bolt
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 137539500

This replacement bolt secures internal components in your appliance. A stripped, rusted, or missing bolt can let parts loosen and vibrate; installing a new bolt restores a tight, stable connection for reliable operation.

  • Provides a secure, threaded fastener for brackets, weights, or assemblies
  • Helps maintain alignment and reduce movement during operation
  • Typical issues: missing hardware, stripped threads, or visible corrosion
  • Helps address rattling or excessive vibration caused by loose hardware
What's included: 1 bolt
  • Safety first: Disconnect power; for water- or gas-connected units, shut off supplies
  • Support the component being secured before removing the old fastener
  • Start threads by hand to avoid cross-threading; tighten evenly to manufacturer guidance—do not overtighten
  • Reuse original washers/spacers and thread locker only if they were originally present

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking washer tub   Hugh S. • Miami , FL • June 25, 2016

The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off... Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. I watched the videos, a lot of common sense, common tools, and plenty of time. My knuckles are busted up and a little blood, but I got it done. Was actually kind of rewarding. Works like a champ. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Grinding noise coming from stack unit dryer   Daniel B. • Hughesville , PA • August 22, 2023

Old, unused stack set. Washer was great, dryer was grinding. Started with the mounting bracket/bearing and the belt. The old ones were slightly beatup. Put it back together and the problem persisted. Found the real problem when I pulled apart the blower to get to the motor. The fan had broken fins that had jammed in the side of the blower housing, and the friction had melted through the outer wall of the fan. Got the blower housing from APP, got the fan from a competitors for $30 less. When it... Read more

Insulator (Evaporator)
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134535300

Evaporator insulator that surrounds the evaporator assembly to reduce heat transfer and help limit frost buildup. Replacing damaged insulation helps maintain consistent temperatures and prevents excess moisture inside the freezer or refrigerator. What it does:

  • Insulates and protects the evaporator area — common signs: visible frost or ice buildup and inconsistent cooling.
  • Helps reduce vibration-related noise from evaporator components — common sign: rattling or buzzing.
  • Prevents cold-air leakage into cabinet walls to support efficient cooling — common sign: warm spots or extended run times.
  • Restores proper airflow pathways around the evaporator to help the system cycle normally.
What's included: One insulator. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any repair.
  • Access may require removal of interior panels or the evaporator cover; follow OEM service instructions.
