Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking water from bottom of front door.   Kirk D. • Gilbert , AZ • February 24, 2020

Turned out that the large gray boot/gasket had finally started to harden and deteriorate right at the bottom where the drain hose is. No surprise it leaked after seeing that. Installing the new gasket (and new clamps which I figured I would replace at the same time) did the trick. Fairly simple install. Do yourself a favor and buy the spring pliers to remove/install the clamps. Well worth the time and hassle they will save you. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Front bearings failed and rear outer tub assembly failed washer sounded like a really loud jet engine during spin cycle   Robert S. • Surprise , AZ • June 04, 2026

After almost 17 years, my washer began to sound like a jet engine was flying through the house, VERY loud during the spin cycle. The front bearings were shot, meaning the seal on the outer tub had failed. After tearing the washer apart, I found that the rear outer tub assembly had stress cracks throughout, and was near to a catastrophic failure. No fixing that one! I struggled to find a rear outer tub assembly I could actually afford. eBay prices one used ones were good, but they wanted almost... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Noisy bearings   Gerald D. • Belle Vernon , PA • October 18, 2014

Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. After removing the weights and prepping to remove the shock absorbers, after the front ones were removed, the tub tilted so far the rear shock absorber separated. The friction pads fell out. It was easy... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lg washer bearings failing (loud spin cycle)   Mike D. • Ninety Six , SC • March 31, 2026

Replaced the failing bearings and seal to eliminate loud noise during spin cycle. First the positive feedback regarding the video provided saved time and efforts and was VERY helpful. I called customer services to review the parts I was ordering. I was provided the wrong information and back bearing for the drum. Reordered the correct one which came quickly and was supplied RMA for refund with correct bearing. It took several weeks to issue a notice of refund and will take longer to be posted... Read more

I recently moved (worse move ever...) and needed shipping bolts to move my washer. I had attempted to purchase this same item on another site, but they had let me go thru the process of purchasing the item a few times only to send me an email later and say they were out of stock. So I was left under the gun to get my appliances out. I received these items really quickly and I wish I had of ordered them here in the first place then I wouldn't have been so stressed. Thank you. Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud noise during spin cycle   Steven S. • Celina , OH • March 10, 2019

I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
