This inner drum assembly holds and moves your clothes during the wash and spin cycles in your washer. It includes the perforated basket where clothes are placed and rotates to create washing action and remove water during spinning. Replace this assembly if you notice cracks in the drum, clothes getting caught or torn, or excessive vibration during the spin cycle.
I drained the unit. Removed the front cover which is only held on by a couple of screws and the retainer ring that holds the rubber boot the seal for the door. But pretty straight forward after that.
