The Thermistor Assembly is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It serves a crucial function in monitoring and regulating the temperature within the appliance. By sensing temperature changes, the thermistor sends information to the refrigerator’s control board, ensuring the system adjusts cooling to maintain the desired temperature settings.
Symptoms of a failing thermistor assembly include:
- Inconsistent temperatures in the refrigerator or freezer
- Refrigerator running longer than usual or not cooling efficiently
- Frequent fluctuations in temperature readings
Causes of thermistor assembly failure typically involve electrical faults, damage from moisture or frost, or simple wear over time, which can impact its ability to accurately measure and report temperatures.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Lg french door refrigerator with e rf error code (model lxfs30766s) Mark S. • Braselton , GA • January 09, 2017
According to LG site error code is Refrigerator Fan. I removed the current fan by taking out the shelves. Then removing the bottom left track that is held in by 2 screws and a tab. Then you remove the plenum in the back. To do so, remove 2 screws under that hold the middle rack support. You need to lift up the covers that cover the screws. Once you have done that, pull down on the plenum, then pull forward and remove. You need to un-plug the fan to remove the plenum. Once that is...

We have an LG fridge that is 10 years old that was starting to have sweating problems around all the gaskets. So it was either a new fridge or try replacing the gaskets. I purchased a new ice maker door gasket using the parts catalog on the website. Very easy to order and they offer a short video to show the technique to switch out the old and new gaskets. Also did the same thing with the door gaskets and freezer drawer gasket. Website was very easy to work with and find the correct parts and...

OMG, there were videos to tell me just how and what to take off to get to the repair. It was amazing. It was a challenge knowing I could do it as a woman. We ended up changing about 6 to 8 parts..ice maker, water valve, three fans, thermostats. Was about to change out the control board when I found out the compressor was still in warranty. There was a little light on the control board which appliancepartspros personnel even walked me thru that it was either the control board or the...

ER CO was displayed refrigerator stopped working Christopher B. • Colorado Springs , CO • January 16, 2019
Unplugged frig to check connections, everything was ok. When I plugged it back in, nothing worked and the display and ice maker were flickering and clicking. Unplugged the display connector on the main board and could hear clicking from the main board itself.
Replacing the main board and capacitor fixed it. I only replaced the capacitor as a precaution. it may not have been bad, but I did it for good measure. Everything is working great now and I don't have to buy a new refrigerator.
