The Upper Rack Assembly is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. This part provides a durable and efficient space for washing glasses, cups, and smaller dishes. This assembly maximizes the cleaning capacity of your dishwasher, allowing for the organized placement of items to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned and dried.
Causes for issues with the upper rack assembly often involve prolonged exposure to water and detergent, leading to rust or corrosion, physical damage from loading or unloading, or wear and tear from regular use.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Upper Rack Assembly include:
- Difficulty sliding the rack in or out
- Rust or corrosion that can lead to stains on dishes
- Broken or missing tines affecting the rack's ability to hold dishes securely
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

This dishwasher sensor assembly contains the thermistor that monitors wash-water temperature and sends readings to the control. Replacing a faulty sensor restores accurate heating and cycle timing for consistent cleaning and to prevent temperature-related interruptions. What it does:
- Measures wash-water temperature via an NTC thermistor
- Sends a resistance signal to the control to manage heater operation and cycle timing
- Helps maintain target temperatures for proper cleaning performance
- Common failure symptoms include no heat or overheating, long/short cycles, temperature-related errors, or poor cleaning/drying
What's included: 1 sensor assembly Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and shut off water before servicing
- Access the sump area from the bottom; you may need to pull the dishwasher forward for clearance
- Expect some residual water—protect the area with towels
- Seat the sensor fully in the sump opening, reconnect the harness, and run a test cycle to check for leaks and proper heating

Loud grinding sound motor rattling Marvin L. • Sandy , UT • November 09, 2014
My project involved replacing the sump assembly and main motor on my LG dishwasher.
The parts arrive in about 2-3 days. Wow, FAST! With the help of videos from LG I knew what to do. The trick with the whole project was ensuring that I transferred ALL gaskets from the old sump assembly to the new one. I missed transferring one around a sensor, then did not get the gasket around the pump motor properly. Once all those were correct all leaks stopped, new motor is whisper quiet (all I hear now is...

Door spring pulleys broke on our lg dishwasher Leigh C. • Bemidji , MN • March 22, 2015
I looked up my unit and reviewed the schematic drawing online at Appliance Parts Pro. Once receiving the parts, I Pulled out the dishwasher and removed side panels - didn't even have to disconnect anything. Removed broken parts and replaced them with the new - took about 10-15 minutes start to finish.
Easy cheesy!

I watched a suggested video about my model and was able to easily take apart the filter unit and access the drainage area. I found a worn out "Float" Valve. In the process of replacing the float valve I went ahead and replaced a gasket and the Valve, Check. Repairs went great.
Parts were a perfect fit. This is the second time I used AplliancePartsPros.
