Shock absorber kit reduces vibrations and stabilizes the drum during wash cycles. Replace if worn, leaking, or causing excessive movement and noise.
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more
Fix LE error codes and spinning problems with this washer rotor position sensor. Resolves machines that won't spin or make loud noises. Easy 5-10 minute fix.
I watched the Appliance Parts Pro video and saw that it was a job that I could easily do. I ordered the Rotor Position sensor switch for about $21 on a Monday and it was delivered by UPS on Wednesday. The process was straight forward: 1) remove the back cover from the washing machine (4 screws), 2) remove the main bolt holding the magnetic drum on the motor; 3) remove the 6 bolts holding the coil on the motor; 4) remove the ground screw and wire harness clamp screw; 5) take the old sensor... The LG Model LG Washer model WM2487HRMA ISSUE: Washing Machine was filling very slowly. Overnight it would fill about 1 or 2 gallons. Fix grinding noises or a drum that won't spin with this washer motor rotor assembly. Common when spline teeth strip. Moderately difficult repair.
I looked on the internet for similar descriptions for similar models and found many angry reports. Most said that the rotor assembly was bad as the nut that held the rotor and other parts together had loosened and allowed slippage between steel and plastic splines. Yes, I know that sounds like trouble, but apparently not to LG when they designed it. Most buyers complained that the part was covered by warrantee but not the labor and labor had been quoted as $400 to $600 dollars. Time to buy... Read more

Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. So far so good, washing clothes and no leaks!! Great prices and best of all the right parts were delivered in a timely manner. Thanks for making this so easy. Only specialty tool used was hose... Secures washer drum during moving or transport. Immobilizes internal components to prevent damage. Replace if missing, lost, or needed for relocation.
I recently moved (worse move ever...) and needed shipping bolts to move my washer. I had attempted to purchase this same item on another site, but they had let me go thru the process of purchasing the item a few times only to send me an email later and say they were out of stock. So I was left under the gun to get my appliances out. I received these items really quickly and I wish I had of ordered them here in the first place then I wouldn't have been so stressed. Thank you.
