I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I had to disassemble the circulating pump housing to replace the motor. The cam motor shaft seal had failed. This led to water leaking to the motor which caused it to rust. After replacing, my dishwasher went back to being silent. The hardest part was figuring out how to access a couple of screws on the housing.

I suspected the 'circulation pump' to be the culprit. I could not find a 'circulation pump' so I deduced via the picture schematics it must be the 'casing assembly, pump' I found on the website. I have heard there have been issues with the 'drain pump' so I also ordered the 'case assembly' on this site which is an odd name for the drain pump.
