Loud banging and imbalance during spin cycle Robert V. • Las Vegas , NV • January 03, 2016
My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Don't expect everything to go as easy as the video. 1) Used 4lb. brass hammer to drive shaft from bearings. 2) Torqued spider bolts to 20ft lbs. with thread locking compound. 3) attached rubber seal to front tub...

Drum bearings were shot Tim A. • Seattle , WA • November 09, 2024
I'm a DIYer but still found the how-to video very helpful. The toughest part was removing the old bearings. I used a hardened punch for one side and then the head of a 5/8x6" bolt for the other side. The bolt might have worked for both.

I have a lg front loading washer that was making a loud grinding noise on the spin cycle Tim W. • Mckinney , TX • September 21, 2014
A repair man said a bearing was out and estimated repairs at $600+, or just replace unit. I researched parts and video online and decided to tackle repair myself. Appliance parts was very helpful in finding parts, ordering, and shipping. Online help is the only area that needs improvement as I was seeking help in identifying other parts that might need replacement since machine was torn down this far. I worked with several different agents as I was dropped several times. None were of much...

Ue error code just before going into spin cycle on my lg tromm front load washer model wm2077 Richard B. • Cheshire , CT • September 07, 2014
Replace the ball sensor. Also known as the out of balance sensor .
Another confirmatory clue was when I ran the QC diagnostics . The moment I ran the first diagnostic test, the spin test, I got a bE (ball sensor) error code in the display and the drum would rotate slowly. When I replaced the sensor the drum ran at very hig speed the moment I entered the diagnostic. This was a good way to confirm in a few seconds that the sensor fixed the problem without having to run a wash load and waiting...

Growling noise coming from the rear of the drum of my lg wm0642hw front load washing machine Lydia F. • Willimantic , CT • June 07, 2016
I followed the video that was posted on your website, very informative and easy to follow. Only problem was, was the drum and bearings refused to separate, even after a week of applying rust buster and using a 5 lb sledge hammer and 2x4 wood. Spoke with one of your exceedingly helpful assistants on the phone and he gave me the only other option was to replace the rear drum assembly and the inner drum.
So easy!!
It's back together and running! I now can revel in clean laundry!
I only have...
