Tim W Mckinney , TX September 21, 2014 I have a lg front loading washer that was making a loud grinding noise on the spin cycle A repair man said a bearing was out and estimated repairs at $600+, or just replace unit. I researched parts and video online and decided to tackle repair myself. Appliance parts was very helpful in finding parts, ordering, and shipping. Online help is the only area that needs improvement as I was seeking help in identifying other parts that might need replacement since machine was torn down this far. I worked with several different agents as I was dropped several times. None were of much help. I decided to replace the 2 bearings and seal. In addition, I replaced the spyder, tub gasket and front boot. Machine works like new now. Huey C Horton , AL October 14, 2014 Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW Bellows leaking (again) and shaking violently during spin cycle Very rapid processing of order and receipt of package, exact fitment for the washing machine. Replaced the bellows again and fixed the leak, the bellows material deteriorates and dissolves which causes leak, last time was approximately 5 years ago. Wiped the inside of the bellows the rubber is obviously dissolving. Always used HE detergent in the correct amount. Replaced dampers in hopes to prevent washing machine from shaking violently during the spin cycle, now it shakes moderately. These parts are much less expensive than replacing the washing machine but the bellows could be manufactured from a more durable material to prevent deterioration. The damper assemblies could be manufactured similarly to an automotive style gas charged shock absorber this would significantly improve control of the tub during spin cycle. NOTE this is an issue with the manufacturer of these items for this LG washing machine NOT Appliance Parts Pro. Arthur W Rochester , NY June 12, 2014 Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW Thumping like clothes were uneven and drum was wobbly and noisy when turned 1. Ordered bearings 2. Disassembled machine 3. Discovered a damper was no loner functioning 4. Ordered dampers 5. Old bearing rings frozen on shaft - tech rightly stated i needed new spider (shaft) 6. Old bearing rings could not be pounded out of rear tub (appliance shop also failed to do this 7. Ordered new rear tub 8. New rear tub already had bearings and seal installed 9. Reasembled with the hardest portion being the door gasket (wife noted i was doing it backwards!) 10. Last is to return unused bearings. My advise is to either order the rear tub , spider and dampers or have all bearings off before ordering parts. This machine has had 9 years of heavy use with bearings chewed up. Fantastic ordering and delivery service - all 3 orders arrived 9am next morning Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set, Wrench Set

Darrell B Glennie , MI November 19, 2016 Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW Noise when changing rotation direction I had to replace the spider, bearings, shaft seal, and front outer drum housing. The repair video was great! Step by step instruction makes a DIYer like myself look like a pro. Well at least my mom was impressed, and thinks her washing machine works "better than ever" The shocks and locking pins were still in good condition so I was able to return them. This repair takes a fair amount of time but a service man would have been expensive. Fix your moms washer, maybe you can be her favorite for at least a day!
