Lg washer not draining odd sounding pump noise Tom K. • Blaine , WA • September 07, 2014
It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked.
Someone had provided great advice on the Appliance Parts Pro's site about replacing the drain motor from the bottom. Great suggestion! Easy to do, although be prepared for more water to drain from the washing machine onto the floor after you lay it over.
I carefully lowered the machine onto it's back,...

An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. It was very well done, very detailed, and took you step by step through the entire process to replace the tub bearings and the spider, from start to finish. After watching the video, I realized this repair was well within my abilities. No specialized tools were needed. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple...

- Poor water flow or pressure issues
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Bad bearings seal and spider David R. • Jacksonville , FL • February 04, 2017
If your LG Front load washers sounds like a freight train, STOP USING IT. You're doing more damage and will need more parts to fix it.
After the noise became unbearable, I began to explore and disassemble. I knew enough to know the bearings must be bad but had never done this repair before. ( I am however pretty mechanically inclined.)
Watch this video before you start tearing your LG apart. APP did a great job explaining the steps of the repair. Do a search on this site or youtube.com with...

The Bearing Ball is an OEM part for LG washing machines. It is a critical component in the washer's drum assembly, ensuring smooth and efficient rotation during wash cycles. The bearing reduces friction between moving parts, which helps in maintaining the washer's performance and longevity.
Causes of a bad bearing ball can include normal wear and tear over time, heavy usage, exposure to excessive loads, or contamination with debris and moisture. A faulty bearing can lead to decreased efficiency and potential damage to other components.
Symptoms of a bad bearing ball include:
- Loud, grinding, or rumbling noises during operation
- The drum wobbling or moving unevenly
- Water leaks from the drum area
- Reduced efficiency in the spin cycle
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Loud noise during spin cycle Steven S. • Celina , OH • March 10, 2019
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful.

Lg wm3431: oe error (drain error) drum not draining and "bad" noise right before error message Kari F. • Boulder , CO • March 01, 2015
I am so grateful for all the information that I found online, including this web site, that I would like to share the details of this repair in case it will help anyone else. Based on all I have read, getting these LG combo machines repaired by a professional service person can be nearly impossible, AND there is only one repair service anywhere near me that services LG and they have terrible reviews, so it was either fix it myself or have to buy a new machine. Ugh!! Pricey. So for about $60,...
