Gregory H Yucaipa , CA February 05, 2018 Our washer is making so much noise While I was replacing springs I decided to replace the gasket since I couldn't clean it anymore. Unfortunately that was on back order so I can't fix it just yet. I have taken this LG machine apart already and it is easy to work on. I love all the videos online that go step by step. This repair is simple. I had a difficult time with the spring around the gasket. I think the tool for getting that back on may be worth the $. I would hate to damage the gasket getting the new one on. I called AppliancePartPros when the back order would come. I spoke with a nice and knowledgeable person that told me it was shipping out in two more days. The order came quickly. Great job guys. Inez C Sacramento , CA May 08, 2017 Appliance: LG Washer WM2032HW Bearings went out Inez is my mother and i her son that fixed it. Found this website as i was looking for parts my machine is 13 years old never had a problem with it so it was well worth repairing given the machines on the market now are junk do to 2015 federal regulations limiting the amount of water and power used. I have replaced bearing in other things before and the video helped with repairing the machine. So it doesnt take much skill just some penetrating oil and a good hammer and steel rod to remove the bearings. Couple things to point out wear gloves with tear down and reinstalling of the sheetmatal panels during. I got a bad cut unplugging the wire to to door latch. The next thing in the video supplied they use a chisel to set the new bearings. Do not do that, instead clean up old breaings and use the cleanest side to on top of new bearing and tap the new bearing in with the old bearing so that your striking the old bearing with the hammer not the new one. Using a chisel to set bearings like in this video is a easy way to cause damage to them or the race the set in. Michael B Upper Marlboro , MD April 02, 2019 Appliance: Model LG WM1812CW Ue Washer kept unbalancing, I found one of the shocks had lost it's pin. I replaced the three shock absorbers, springs and also water valves since the old ones were clogged. The top comes off very easily (two screws) to access the water valves. I used a hand truck to lay it on it's side and with the back removed I had access to everything without taking the front off. through the back and large access hole in the bottom, a major time saver.
