This OEM replacement part is a washer door assembly. The washer door assembly consists of the main components that make up the front door of the washer. Over time, a washer door can become inoperable due to excessive wear and tear. If the washer door is no longer shutting or opening properly or is damaged to the point of inoperability, it will need to be replaced.To replace the washer door, start by making sure the washer is unplugged. Once it has been powered off, proceed to open the door. Locate the screws that attach the hinges to the door. Unthread the screws and lift the door off from its hinges. Set the old door to the side and proceed to place the new door on its hinges. Fasten the screws that secure it. Once secured, open and close the new door to make sure it is functioning properly.This authentic OEM part is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is compatible with LG brand washers.
I contacted All Appliance Live Chat . The told me I needed to buy the entire door which was reasonably priced. They gave me the correct part number. While I was replacing springs I decided to replace the gasket since I couldn't clean it anymore. Unfortunately that was on back order so I can't fix it just yet. I have taken this LG machine apart already and it is easy to work on. I love all the videos online that go step by step. This repair is simple. I followed the video that was posted on your website, very informative and easy to follow. Only problem was, was the drum and bearings refused to separate, even after a week of applying rust buster and using a 5 lb sledge hammer and 2x4 wood. Spoke with one of your exceedingly helpful assistants on the phone and he gave me the only other option was to replace the rear drum assembly and the inner drum. So easy!!
