Evaporator fan noise William O. • Oakmont , PA • December 18, 2014
Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge.
Noise was due to fan rubbing on housing. New fan position set to avoid any rubbing.

Freezer temperature felt cold but temperature would not drop below 50 degrees Justus S. • Poulsbo , WA • February 08, 2015
This repair was likely compounded by a second failed component after several unplug attempts.
The first failure occurred after the freezer door had been left ajar. The freezer temp wouldn't drop but inside it still felt cold. I did several panel resets and the 'unplug for 12 hours' trick, neither changed indications. Checking behind the condenser cover revealed that it was still cold and appeared to be function, but the evap fan did not appear to be working. At some point during one of the...

Fan noise Ray F. • Carpentersville , IL • April 04, 2016
I replaced the evap fan motor assembly after thawing out the evaporator. I replaced the evap motor assembly because i damaged it while defrosting the evaporator. Too much heat warped the fan blade and bracket. I replaced the motor because of the abnormal load it was put under when it was making all the noise from trying to spin through the ice buildup on the evaporator. This was all done on the fridge side.

Freezer door handle broke on my Samsung. Ken P. • Spring Hill , FL • May 29, 2020
After receiving the part, I found I had to dismantle the left side of the handle in order to fix the right side that was broken.
When I took the left side of the handle off I found the plastic piece that broke on the right side was about to break on the left side also.
Having all the details and in advance of another broken handle, I ordered the part, just to have when it breaks.

Evaperator fan motor Steve M. • Alvin , TX • December 18, 2015
Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. So I finished tearing apart the freezer to get to part removing the ice maker and rear panel, removed fan and ordered new parts, parts arrived as said and I put back together. Happy to say it is fixed.

Drain for evaporator in samsung frig clogged with ice and leaking into frig James W. • Chesapeake , VA • November 21, 2018
Changed the evaporator fan cover. I was told it comes with the fan motor and it did not so I had to order a fan motor. Then I found the fan wire harness was corroded and broken. I also installed an aluminum tab on the heater element that extends down the drain hole. I also had to clean the back of the fridge and unclog the two drain tubes on the back of the fridge next to the compressor and now it works fine. PS- use a small open end wrench to push the fan blade off the old fan.
