The Bake Element is an OEM part for Bosch 30" ovens. This part is responsible for heating the oven's interior, enabling consistent and thorough baking results.

A malfunctioning bake element can stem from various causes, including burnt-out coils, physical damage such as breaks or warps, or electrical issues like faulty wiring or connections.

Symptoms of a bad bake element include:

  • The oven not heating up to the set temperature.
  • Visible damage to the element itself, such as blistering, splits, or breaks.
  • Lack of heat when the oven is turned on, indicating the element may not be functioning at all.

This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

For Bosch Bake Element (Part Number: OEM8480169)

Dave for Model Number Bosch HBL 635 A UC

Hi, My Bosch electric oven tends to overheat and not maintain a consistent temperature. It blows a steady stream of hot air out of the front vent the entire time the oven is turned on as well as after it is turned off until the oven has cooled and then eventually the vent fan turns off. The oven is approximately 10 years old and it came with the home that I recently purchased, so I'm unable to give any history. Any thoughts on my problem? Thank you. Dave

Dave, You will want to check the oven sensor to make sure that it is good. At room temperature the sensor should read approximately 1090 ohms.

Rachel for Model Number SC302TS

Upper oven bake setting is heating too slowly and not making it up to the set temperature. The bake element is turning on and off during the preheat and never quite getting up to temperature, sometimes just staying off all together. Broil function works properly on upper oven and in lower oven all functions work properly. Removed upper oven bake element and tested it - resistance is 19 Ohms. Is it possible coil is on its way to failing and that's causing the problem or is it some other component causing the problem? Was hoping it was the coil because that's an easy fix... Any insight would be very helpful! Thanks.

Hello Rachel, You should check the oven sensor 00414152 for resistance. The sensor should read 1090 ohms at room temperature. This does sound more like the sensor rather than the bake element.

Hello Tod, This is much more likely to be a Thermal Sensor Kit 00414152 out of tolerance. It is possible that the electronic control is mis-reading the information sent by the sensor, but since the sensor is in the bake compartment with the 900°F to 1100°F temperatures, it is suspect for a long pre-heat.

Hello Joe. You will need to remove the back of the unit and locate the wire connectors and install them onto the new element 00367648. Hope this helps.

Hello Lojosti. According to your model number, you will need the 27 inch element 00367649, and not the 30 inch element. Hope this helps.
