For Bosch Dishwasher Circulation Pump And Motor Assembly (Part Number: OEM11526702)

Daniel for Model Number SHE58C05UC/40

Circulation Pump 442548 impeller seized up (fused to housing). I broke it free and reassembled. Ran cycle. First half of cycle ran well. Could hear water spraying correctly. Then circulation pump started squalling. Could see that fins on motor were moving. Then cycle stalled on one minute. Disassembled. Impeller fused to housing again. My question is: Will replacing the circulation pump fix this? Or, is something else (maybe lack of water) the root cause?

Dave, You will want to turn the unit on and let it fill with water. Let the unit cycle until the motor should be on and then check with a voltage indicator at the control board on the wire that goes to the motor to see if there is power. If there is power but the motor is not turning then the motor is bad.

Hello Chazz, The capacitor should never be hot and more than likely has an internal short. You will need to replace the circulation pump 00442548 as the capacitor does not come as an individual part.

Hello Lisa. No, the water should still heat up if the circulation pump 00442548 is turning slowly. This would not be the heating issue. It could be the heater assembly of the control board causing the heating issue in the unit.

Lisa, Did you check and make sure the dishwasher is filling properly (water depth in bottom of tub, 3/4 to 1 inch in depth) a low water level can cause the description you supplied. If the water level is in range, then consider the wash pump 00239144 . We'll send you some additional information to give you an idea of what's involved. Thanks and Good Luck

Hello David, I would first remove everything from the bottom of the unit. The one screen turns about 1/4 of a turn and is lifted out. Then the large screen will lift out. I have found things in there that, once removed, cleared the problem. After you get the sump area cleaned out, if you can trick the door switch and turn the unit onto cancel/drain by pressing the two buttons with dots under them, you can make sure the pump is spinning. Otherwise, I would remove the drain hose from the plumbing under the sink and place it in a bucket or plastic trash can and set the unit to cancel/drain. If none of this produces positive results, replace the pump 00642239.
