This circulation pump repair kit is a genuine Bosch part, sold individually. This circulation pump repair kit can be used as a replacement part for a dishwasher. This part supplies all of the necessary components to facilitate the replacement of the dishwasher impeller and seal. The impeller of a dishwasher sprays and drains the water during a standard dishwasher cycle, and the seal keeps the interior of the dishwasher protected from external materials.A circulation pump repair kit might have to be ordered as a replacement part for the impeller and seal of a dishwasher in the event that the impeller and the seal suffer damage that prevents the components from serving their dual functions. Damage can include punctures, tears, scrapes, or warping from general wear and tear or as the result of a direct impact collision with a hard object. If this occurs, the circulation pump repair kit should be ordered as a complete, genuine OEM replacement part. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This circulation pump repair kit is compatible with the following appliance brands: Bosch, Kenmore, Thermador, and Gaggenau.

Joe, If the unit is off and just humming like the pump is running then you will want to pull the front off the unit and check for a leak in the drain pan under the unit as it sounds like the flood switch may be activated.

Hello Lorie, First look at the installation. Not draining properly does not necessarily mean the drain pump has failed. Make sure if the drain was connected to a garbage disposer that the plug in the disposer connection was knocked out. Also make sure the drain line has not gotten crimped. The next thing to do is open the door, remove the filters. There is a single screw with a torx head that will need to be removed. This will expose the drain pump impeller. Make sure there is no foreign objects in this area. The best way to clear the area is with a "wet vacuum". There is no "reset" for the drain pump and it can be replaced from the front through the kickpanel.

Kyle, Typically the pump repair kit is used when the impeller is broken or possibly in a situation as yours. Normally when the motor has to be replaced is when the motor burns out or is not strong enough to pump the water.

Phil, Based on information provided it does sound like the circulation pump could be the issue. You will want to check the pump impeller to make sure that there is nothing that is in the drain that would cause the pump to not run.

Natasha, You will want to check to make sure that there is nothing in the pump causing the noise issue. It sounds as though there is something that is hitting the impeller as it turns and creates the noise or the wash motor bearing may be going out.

Hello Rich. You need to check the water valve and see if it is bad and is not bringing in enough water to fill the tub.

Geopix, We do not recommend trying to run the dishwasher with the door open. To access the circulation motor you will need to pull the unit from installation and rolling it on its back. You will then remove the screws holding the base pan in place and allow the base pan to partially open. You will then be able to access the circulation pump. Check the impeller for damage and for something being caught in it.

My bosch dishwasher started making a load sound when I would first turn it on and also during the cleaning cycle. It cleans the dishes and it drains. I cleaned the drain filter and removed a couple small pieces of glass.I then removed the cover over the propeller and removed the rubber backflow preventer. The rubber backflow preventer was broken the round part of the preventer was stuck and I was able to fish it out. I did NOT replace the backflow preventer yet but reinstalled the propellor cover and the filter. Then turn on the dishwasher and the sound was even louder. I know I have to install a new backflow preventer but do you what can be causing the loud noise? It sounds like a loud spinning sound?

Scott, You will want to check to make sure that there is no water in the in the base of the unit which would cause the units drain pump to continue to run due to a flood sense. This would cause the unit to not run except the pump and would cause water to not enter the unit. If there is water in the base you will need to determine the source of the leak.
