This circulation pump repair kit is a genuine Bosch part, sold individually. This circulation pump repair kit can be used as a replacement part for a dishwasher. This part supplies all of the necessary components to facilitate the replacement of the dishwasher impeller and seal. The impeller of a dishwasher sprays and drains the water during a standard dishwasher cycle, and the seal keeps the interior of the dishwasher protected from external materials.A circulation pump repair kit might have to be ordered as a replacement part for the impeller and seal of a dishwasher in the event that the impeller and the seal suffer damage that prevents the components from serving their dual functions. Damage can include punctures, tears, scrapes, or warping from general wear and tear or as the result of a direct impact collision with a hard object. If this occurs, the circulation pump repair kit should be ordered as a complete, genuine OEM replacement part. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This circulation pump repair kit is compatible with the following appliance brands: Bosch, Kenmore, Thermador, and Gaggenau.

Virginia for Model Number shx3ar75uc/07

Dishwasher model shx3ar75uc/07 does not drain completely after wash cycle. The water left in the bottom is cloudy. I clean the filter often. It is not clogged. I called customer service about this, and they guided me through a manual drain cycle by holding down the Start button for 10 seconds, then closing the door. When I do that, it drains completely, and the pump sounds normal. But when I run the wash cycle, it continues to leave water in the bottom. What would case this problem, and what do I need to do to fix it? I would like to repair it myself rather than calling a servicer. (The dishwasher is less than 2 years old.)

1 Answer

Virginia, This issue sounds like it would be a faulty control board running some water into the unit while the unit is draining.

Hello Bob. You need to check and see if the water level is filling up to the proper level inside the unit. If it is low, the water will not circulate properly and will not clean the dishes properly. If you determine it is low, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.

Hello Frank, The squeal is from the seal sticking to the motor shaft from not being run for some time. The leak is most likely the same seal that is making the noise. This will be in the circulation pump since the drain pumps usually do no have this characteristic. Considering the design of this unit, I would recommend to replace the water valve also since they tend to stick after long periods of non-use. Since the water valve will normally stick in the open position, this is well advised to prevent water damage to the home.

Kerry S for Model Number SHU5305UC/U12

Unit works occasionally but will end reverting back to either not running or getting stuck in the last cycle and running all night until I turn it off. I call a tech and he found water in the bottom tub below the pumps. The tech thought it may run after we remove the water or it may be a bad Circulation Pump. I removed the Drain Pump and it appears to be ok. Tested i with a meter. After drying the unit again and running the DW, I noticed water entering the lower cavity from the Circulation Pump. I assume its the Circulation Pump that is bad. Do you think installing a Circulation Pump Repair Kit will correct the problem? I assume the water is leaking due to warn gaskets.

1 Answer

Hello Kerry, Yes this circulation pump repair kit will work to repair your pump. You may also want to check to see if leak is else where before trying to install the repair kit. Pull the water valve off still leaving connected and using a flashlight with unit filliing with water check to see if there is splashing or dripping. If you see splashing or dripping coming from tub on the side where the water hose goes up then you would need a new water valve.

Hello Mike, This sounds like you either have a piece of debris in the pump or the motor windings 00239144 have shorted. I kind of doubt the latter, but the first is very possible as I have removed many toothpicks and bones form the pump impeller.

Survey Bob for Model Number Bosch dishwasher shu53a05

My unit controls seem to work as always and the unit will fill and drain water but I hear no washing going on and the soap remains in the dispenser even though the dispenser door is open. I talked to a repairman and he said my pump was shot and if he repaired it I would have almost as much as a new unit. I looked at new comparable units and they go for $1,000 so I think he is off on that. Plus so much of the new one is exactly like mine inside, dispenser, rack, etc. Is there a way to check the pump? Does that sound like the problem? I have it pulled out from under the counter and can access it.

1 Answer

Bob, It could be an issue in the impeller assembly 00167085, in the circulation pump 00239144. It is pretty involved, but you're halfway through the repair if the dishwasher is un installed. We'll send you some basic information, and you'll be able to do the repair yourself.
