This circulation pump repair kit is a genuine Bosch part, sold individually. This circulation pump repair kit can be used as a replacement part for a dishwasher. This part supplies all of the necessary components to facilitate the replacement of the dishwasher impeller and seal. The impeller of a dishwasher sprays and drains the water during a standard dishwasher cycle, and the seal keeps the interior of the dishwasher protected from external materials.A circulation pump repair kit might have to be ordered as a replacement part for the impeller and seal of a dishwasher in the event that the impeller and the seal suffer damage that prevents the components from serving their dual functions. Damage can include punctures, tears, scrapes, or warping from general wear and tear or as the result of a direct impact collision with a hard object. If this occurs, the circulation pump repair kit should be ordered as a complete, genuine OEM replacement part. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This circulation pump repair kit is compatible with the following appliance brands: Bosch, Kenmore, Thermador, and Gaggenau.

For Bosch Circulation Pump Repair Kit (Part Number: OEM8407137)

Randy B. for Model Number shu43c02uc/14

I ordered a circulation pump repair kit - my question is on how to remove the existing circulation pump. I pulled the unit and located the pump. It appears that you push down and twist off or do you have to remove the impeller nut on the inside of the unit? I ordered the repair kit because when I started the cycle the unit would fill bottom basin and then I heard a groaning sound as the unit was trying to circulate the water. I was told by a local technician that it was a bad bearing on the impeller causing it to rub the outside casing. I'm able to move the circulation motor blades freely so I'm really wondering on the current diagnosis. Could it be the capacitor?

Hi Randy. You release the latch tab on the pump hsg. as you twist and pull out the circulation pump. Use a shop vac to pick up the water and also clean the top of the inside of the pump/sump assy. While you have the motor off you can check the motor windings to see if they are all the same tolerance in ohms. It reads 10 ohms on the Wht/Rd wire and the white wire. It is rare that a capacitor is bad. Usually a groaning sound is from debris dragging against the impeller, broken pieces or a dragging armature in the motor. Make sure the motor spins freely when you have it apart. Thank You.

Hello Alexander, You need to remove the bottom rack and the filter assemblies. Down inside the top of the pump assembly is a plastic cover held in place by a single torx head screw. I don't remember the size exactly from memory, but i believe it's a T-10 or T-15. Remove this cover with a pair of needle nosed pliers. It will pull straight out once the screw is removed. Now use a wet-vac to clean it out. If you listen closely when doing this, if a foreign item is in there, you can hear it go in the wet-vac.Once all of the water and debris is removed, use a flashlight and inspect the impeller. It should sit up square on the motor shaft. I always spin it with my finger. If you feel the magnetic field from the motor windings, the impeller is fine. If it spins freely and flops around you will have to replace the circulation pump motor.

I purchased and installed the BOSCH Circulation Pump Repair Kit (Part Number: AP2802376)for my dishwasher, and tested afterwards for runability. discovered leaks in gaskets to pump housing? (I think) causing water to fill in lower plastic tub. water filled disherwasher properly and spray wand appeared to function normally on first couple of tries. on last try to discver leak, disherwasher tub fills only partial and now pump mmotor does not operate spray wand. any ideas?

Jim, Low water levels do affect the overall operation of the wash arms, so you need to check to see if there is and issue in the water valve 00425458 and plumbing water supply, and the water level switch 00263185. As for the leak, if the dishwasher sat for an extended period of time, the pump gasket 00263102 and other seals could have dried out and started to leak, or you may want to re check your previous work, Something may have gotten out of alignment or twisted ? Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Carol, The Bosch dishwasher has a moisture sensor, (flood sensor), in the bottom assembly that will shut off the units' ability to do anything but drain out. The drain pump will run as long as the moisture is sensed and nothing else will work on the unit until the moisture under there is dried up. Normally what I see in this case is a bad water inlet valve 00425458. Occasionally, there will be a leak around a hose or seal but this is a situation where a technician has to "clamshell" the unit to gain enough access to locate the leak. Since the water inlet valve is the most common failure, I would change it before calling anyone for the more extensive repair. Also, while the old water valve is out, before you install the new one, I use this opening with a towel or paper towels to dry up the water that is in the base already. Doing so will enable the unit to operate again. You can, if you desire, leave the water valve off for a day or so with a fan blowing into the base to evaporate the moisture. This takes a while if there is water puddled in there so if this is the method you want to use, wick the majority out with the corner of a towel then use the air flow method to dry out the remaining moisture.

Mike, The drain pump would be a good place to start 00167082, If you had glass in the circulation pump and drain holes, you most likely have glass in the drain impeller, and a damaged drain pump, and/or clogs in the drain hose system. Thanks and Good Luck

Hi Jan. No, They should both be separate pieces. Place a 1x1' piece of wood on top of the motor. Use a screwdriver to pry under the disc and against the wood to lift off the shaft. Impellor kit # 00167085. Thank You.

Hi Kraig. Is your wash arms jets plugged? Flush them out under the sink, dislodging with a pick tool. Is the filter clean? Remove all from the top of the motor and clean filter. The circulation pump impellor may have stripped on the shaft. This part # is 00167085. Thank you.

Hello Larry. Make sure the water level is getting high enough for the system to work properly. If it is low, the upper spray arm will not work properly. If this is the case, you will need to replace the water valve 00425458. You do not need to interchange the parts between the 14 and the 21 series. Hope this helps.
