I have a Bosch dishwasher which is not emptying water in the bottom of the dishwasher upon completion of the cycle. We have checked the drainage hose to make sure it was free of clogs, replaced the pump, and made sure that the filter is free of clogs. Could it possibly be the modulator? For whatever reason it seems that the pump is not being switched on. The water level fills up to the point where the sensor tells the dishwasher to interrupt the cylcle and drain but it never drains fully. Thanks!

Hello MTC83. If there is no power coming to the drain motor, and the unit is in the drain cycle, you will need to replace the control module. Make sure there is no broken wires on the unit, and that the float is not stuck and making the unit think that it is empty. Hope this helps.

Hi Workhorse247. You can unhook the drain hose in a bucket from under the sink. Press drain/cancel ans see if it will empty. Check the end of the drain hose and the sink hook - up to see if either are clogged. Is the pump getting 120vac and has the pump impeller clogged or come loose on the motor shaftAP5176436? Please send us the exact model # so we can provide pump part # . You can also use the dishwasher clean/magic or glisten part # W10549845. Thank you.

Keith for Model Number SHU5306UC/U12

Great website. Dishwasher starts with either 2H or 74 in the display. Everything sounds and seems normal. The display eventually reaches "1" where it continues to rinse (forever?). It never goes into a drying cycle. Dishes are clean and hot, evaporation dries dishes and insides of dishwasher quickly if left open. I thought it might be control module but read one of your posts about a heating or heating sensor problem. What's my next move? Thank you. BTW: When this problem started I opened the door panel to see if everything was still connected and didn't find anything wrong but it worked fine for two or three uses afterward.

Hello Keith. It sounds like the heater 00480317 is bad. You will need to test for 120 volts going to the heater in the dry mode. If voltage is not there, you will need to replace the control board 00266746. If there is voltage there, you will replace the heater assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
