Nick N August 12, 2014 for Model Number Bosch 6802uc/12 Dishwasher My Dishwasher is not powering up. It just quit one evening. I have 120v power coming into the switch, and it seemed about 53 V power coming out to the switch. How do diagnose this on/off power switch? If its not the power switch, then what do you suggest I look at next. Thanks Nick
1 Answer Hello Nick. If there is 120v to the switch and only 53v out, you will need to order and replace the power switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Katie March 19, 2013 for Model Number Bosch dishwasher SHU4306 Hello, The regular wash button of the cycle selection is stuck in and the red light doesn't come on. The other cycles seem to be ok. Will the control cover #246946 and maybe a button #168561 fix this? Thanks, Katie
1 Answer Hello Katie. If the button is broke, then the module will need to be replaced. This module 00264461 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Holley February 11, 2013 for Model Number Bosch dishwasher SHU6806U0/U06 1. Plastic control panel cover (or face) falls off 2. Two buttons (quick wash and regular wash) do not work; plastic sensor under buttons have broken off. What parts are necessary to fix these things? Can a novice easily fix these things or should I contact a professional? Thanks so much.
1 Answer Hello Holley, The control module front cover 00264946 to repair the button issue. To repair face plate it sounds like the faceplate screws are missing or the facia has broken. You will need to look to see if there are any missing screws. This can be repaired by removing screws holding in place on the inner door panel. Read More...
Cheryl W. February 02, 2013 for Model Number SMU7056UC My dishwasher keeps on running and the letter F appears on the front panel, the dishes are not getting clean and dishwasher keeps on running. I took the bottom panel off and checked for water but there wasn't any. Do I need a new panel item number 264946, I already replaced this part once in 2006.
1 Answer Hello Cheryl, This is usually caused by a bad water valve. If the valve doesn't open fully, it causes a dribble of water to go into the base. This dribble causes enough water to accumulate in the base to activate the flood switch. This will cause the drain pump to run continuously and it will do nothing else. When you go to change the water valve, while you have it removed, you can use a towel to "wick" the water out of the bottom of the unit through the water valve mounting opening. Be careful not to damage the styrofoam float in the base just behind the valve. I normally provide the part number, but the specific part number is dependant on the FD number, which was not posted. Frank A October 05, 2012 for Model Number shu6800 Cycle runs down to 1 and stays on. Water remains in bottom when this happens. Happens every 4th or 5th time we use. Open door and water is hot. Thinking control module??
1 Answer Hello Frank. You need to look and see if the unit is leaking water slowly into the bottom of the unit. If so, this is the issue with the unit and you need to repair the leak to fix the unit. If not, then the control module may be the issue and need to be replaced. Read More...
Peter June 18, 2012 for Model Number SHU5302UC-O6 What does it mean when the letter "F" appears on the control panel? The motor starts, drains the little bit of water in machine and motor keeps running but does not fill. Checked the filters, coarse and fine, but they are clean. I tried the reset by selecting proper buttons. Get "CL" on display, but when I turn it on again, I get the "F." Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Peter, This sounds like there is a leak under the unit causing the flood fault to appear. Most of the time, this will be caused by the water valve not opening all of the way and causing a dribble from the water inlet to dribble into the base plate. You can check this by removing the kick panel with the power turned off, and using an inspection mirror to check for any water in the base. If any water is present, you need to use a towel, (not washed in fabric softener so it will absorb the water), and once the water is gone, start the unit back up and watch the area up and to the left of the water inlet valve. If you see a dribble dripping down, replace the water inlet valve. As long as all of the water is gone, this should correct the situation. Read More...
