Does this dishwasher take a vented or non-vented dispenser? There is currently a vented dispenser installed, which has leaked at the connection to the dispenser. We are having a very hard time removing the dispenser. Do you have any suggestions for removal?
1 Answer Jack, The correct dispenser assembly for the model number you supplied is 00490467 / 00490467 Dispenser. It appears that the dispenser is a non-vented dispenser. There were a few UC11 / UC12 models that did have condensation tubes, and vented dispensers, but we don't think that would apply to your model and style dishwasher. Dispensers can be a little difficult to replace, you may want to wear gloves to keep from cutting or scraping yourself on the sharp edges of the tabs, but the video attached to the part number in the parts order screen will give you a lot better idea of what to expect and how to remove the original dispenser. J February 28, 2017 for Model Number SHU 3305 UC/U12 FD 8108 This replacement dispenser I received has a computer chip connection port on the rear of the rinse aid area - and my original dispenser did not have a connection for that - only one red/copper connector in the center rear of the unit. Is this the correct unit/will it work if this computer chip is not connected to my dishwasher? Is the part number located on the part itself somewhere?
Chris December 03, 2016 for Model Number SHE68M05UC/50 I bought a replacement dispenser for my Bosch dishwasher, the rinse aid from the old unit was emptying out every few days. I bought part 490467 directly from Bosch. The new unit does not have a circuit board to connect the wiring harness that I assume controls the rinse aid. There is different circuit board on the bottom of this new unit, but the harness doesn't plug into it the same way. Nobody at Bosch can tell me why the replacement part doesn't look like the original. I found another dispenser (488964) that looks like mine, but Bosch says it's the wrong one. Any ideas? Thanks.

Lisa August 09, 2016 for Model Number SHU9915 UC/11 I have a leak coming through the back of the detergent dispenser which we replaced within the last year. My best guess at this point is that my model requires an unvented dispenser and we installed a vented one. I believe it took this long for the foam insulation to saturate resulting in the leak. Is this dispenser unvented?

The wax motor connection is fine but the rinse and connector is different and in a different place on the dispenser. What gives? I need to fix this unit ASAP! Please advise.

Lowell September 21, 2015 for Model Number SHU5307UC/14 The dishwasher seems to go through all the cycles, but does not dry properly. Is there a heating element that needs to be changed or is this a master control problem. As I recall , when this machine was new it would when ever you opened the door during a wash cycle there would be steam rolling out as a consequence of hot water being used for the cleaning, etc.. After it has completed the entire cycle everything in the washer will have droplets of moisture inside dishes, pots, pans and cups. Almost everything has to be dried with a dish towel.
