Lisa, the dispenser assembly is part numebr 00488964. The soap is dispensed at a certain time during the wash cycle. To ensure the dishwasher washes properly it is not recommended to place the soap tablet in the bottom of the dishwasher. Thanks.

Hello Tim, The dispenser 00488964 is only available as an assembly. This greatly simplifies the replacement of the part and replaces parts of the assembly that usually need to be replaced in addition to the part causing the initial issue.

Hello Steve, Individual parts for the dispenser 00263088 are not available in most of these Bosch dispensers as they, in many cases, are next to impossible to get back together properly, even for an experienced technician. I'm not saying that it can't be done, it just isn't likely that it will not give another issue in the near future. Many models have absolutely no parts available for the dispenser repair for this reason. I would replace the complete assembly so I wouldn't have to worry with it anymore.

Hello Pamela, You need to check on the water fill. When the unit starts, it will try to pump out (as designed). The next sound you hear is a hissing sound which is the water coming into the unit. When the motor kicks on, open the door and insure the unit is filling. If there is no water, you probably need to replace the water inlet valve or check the drain hose to insure it is looped up to the countertop before going into the sink drain, (as this will cause a siphon situation). Unless the sump screen is stopped up preventing water circulation, one of the previously mentioned situations will be the cause. Let us know if we can further assist in your repair.
