Pamela March 26, 2012 for Model Number Bosch Dishwasher shu43co2uc/17 The soap tab does not release in cycle or it comes out at very end but it is not dissolved so dishes are not clean. Is this a control panel issue or does it need a replaced standard dispenser. The dispenser shuts as usual so I am not sure. I do have a two extra 647476 control units that were given to me.
1 Answer Hello Pamela, You need to check on the water fill. When the unit starts, it will try to pump out (as designed). The next sound you hear is a hissing sound which is the water coming into the unit. When the motor kicks on, open the door and insure the unit is filling. If there is no water, you probably need to replace the water inlet valve or check the drain hose to insure it is looped up to the countertop before going into the sink drain, (as this will cause a siphon situation). Steve February 29, 2012 for Model Number Part Number: AP3195342 Bosch Our soap door, the moving part, was knocked off and broken. Must I purchase and install the whole assemby or just pop off the door and snap it in place on the existing unit?

Bob January 13, 2012 I just recieved part # 488964 and it appears to be missing a small circuit board that is on the bottom left side of the unit. My dishwasher part number is a BOSCH SHV46C13UC/40. The circuit board on my original dispenser does not appear to be removable. Other that the missing component - the new unit appears to be identical to the old one. Unable to enter a name in the above "Your Name" section.

Mike September 25, 2011 for Model Number shu43c05uc/14 I just took the door panel off to get a look at the dispenser assembly. It appears to have dried cleaning powder inside. Is this normal or is it time to replace. Also, the soap holder does not want to stay closed. Thanks

1 Answer Hello Cindy. Here are the instructions from the manufacture on how to install the dispenser. Hope this helps. To remove/install dispensers: ??Remove outer door, remove fascia panel & disconnect wire harnessfrom fascia panel. ??Disconnect wire harness from above dispenser, then remove wires to wax motor & reed switch. ??Disconnect condensation tube (for older models with condensationtubes in doors). ??Bend retainer tabs, the push dispenser inward toward tank. Protect hand with towel as edges are sharp. ??Replace from inside of tank --position O-ring seal and bend tabs to secure. When replacing dispensers, lubricate O-rings with rinse-aid & support inner doors to avoid damage if O-rings stick. Read More...
